Is it worth it to use points for Air with the service downgraded due to Cov-19

I understand the need to make changes to meals and liquor services etc. Safety is most important, yes. Is it worth it to upgrade anymore just for basically more leg room?

Welcome @Nadejda – It depends on how much you value the extra leg room and wider seat. I don’t drink alcohol anyway but find the extra legroom, wider seat and extra baggage allowance helpful, especially on my ski trips where I have a lot of equipment.

I also think that if I could afford it (whether with cash or points), I’d fly in business class or better every time now, especially on longer international flights. Unless your flight is half empty, there’s no realistic way to social distance when seated in coach. At least in business class, you have more personal space so it’s easier to practice social distancing.

The seat itself and extra space, in my opinion, is even more worthwhile now, despite the food and beverage cuts.
