Is it possible to beat a 4% Return Credit Card?

Is it possible to beat a 4% Return Credit Card?

Hello from Canada. There is a travel credit in Canada (Scotia Gold Amex) that offers 4% return on gas, grocery, restaurant, and entertainment category spending. My question is should I be better off using this card than other cards that offer 1.5 to 2 Aeroplan miles per dollar? I doubt it that I will get more than 4% return on frequent flier or SPG points, even if I fly business class. Thanks.

@Ahmed, a 4% return is pretty good. You could always have two cards, one for the category bonuses and another for non-bonused spending.
