Interlining bags with Star Alliance

Interlining bags with Star Alliance

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello!

I managed to snag the mistake fare that Air New Zealand posted last month. For my positioning flight, if I buy United, will they check my bags through or will I have to collect them and check back in?

If you have a domestic US flight on UA connecting to NZ, they shouldnt have a problem interlining bags. If youre arriving to the US on NZ and connecting to a domestic UA flight, you have to collect bags and check them back in.

However, in the latter case, NZ check in should be able to tag your bag all the way thru, and there might be a bag drop after customs for your bag, instead of hauling it to check in. Its at SFO, and quite useful.
