Can I use the star alliance lounge with that ticket? I have a dreadful 7 hour layover at LAX. My ticket is on EVA connecting to Jetblu. The Eva class is economy plus

Welcome [USER=4353]@spydox[/USER] – I do not believe you’ll have access. JetBlue does not have a lounge at LAX and since you’re not in business class you wouldn’t have access to any arrival lounge I know of.

Drat! I have seen cases where any international ticket gets into a lounge? Is that possible?

I dont think so. But in the past we used lounges in Hong Kong and ATL other airports just by showing the international ticket?

It’s highly dependent on the airline and what relationships they have set up with lounges. It’s very rare for an airline to offer lounge access for economy travelers, even if it’s international.

no, sadly I don’t. My travel mate said Asian AIrlines like Eva don’t really distingush between business class and economy-plus, so we can use some lounges (like HK).

Can I pay a fee in LAX to use it? I’m there a torturous 7 hours!

LoungeBuddy says you can pay $45 for the Alaska Air lounge but it’s in T6 and I’m not well-enough acquainted with LAX to know if you can get in T6 airside.

Terminals 4 to 8 and the TBIT are all connected airside so you’ll be able to get from T6 to TBIT and back without having to exit and reclear security. If you are going to visit the AS lounge and pay for access, I’d recommend giving yourself about 20 to get between the terminals.

With 7 hours, I’d suggest finding something to do outside of the airport instead – maybe a meal.
