IHG Rewards – maintain elite status?

I need 2500 more elite qualifying points to maintain my IHG Elite Gold status prior to December 31st. Is there any other way to get these points besides a stay or using their credit card?

Welcome [USER=4502]@Tanya Gruntfest[/USER] – just owning their credit card gives you Platinum status, unless something’s changed that I’ve forgotten about.

Thank you for the reply, but I do not have their credit card.
