If you have both Chase sapphire / chase sapphire reserve

If you have both Chase sapphire / chase sapphire reserve

Hi, I just want to clarify that now I’ve been approved for the chase sapphire reserve card, that there is no reason to keep the chase sapphire card with the $95 fee. Is that correct? Thank you!

    Not really, no.

I have both because I have authorized users on the Preferred that i’d rather not pay more for if I moved them to the Reserve.

Agreed. I’d had my CSP for awhile and got them to downgrade to a Freedom Unlimited, which I didn’t have so the line of credit stayed open.

That is a good point, but if there are only 2 users, it seems I’d either have to pay $95 to keep both accounts open or $75 to add on a user on the reserve card. Would I lose any benefits?

you wouldnt lose any benefits if you have just one AU and switched them over. In my case, I have 3 so I’d rather pay the $95 instead of $75 for each AU.
