Hi Ben & team…I was one of your readers who took advantage of the 90k avios deal from Iberia. Suffice it to say, my experience has been anything but smooth! I’m still waiting – 9 weeks later. My account was blocked but reinstated once I sent in my passport info/data page along with all 10 booking confirmation. The first email response was promising in that my details were reviewed, my account was reset & unlock and that I should see the points in a “few weeks.” Since that I email, my last two emails to inquire have not been answered. I tried tweeting – they gave me a number to call. The agent I spoke with said “you just have to wait because there are a lot of customers waiting as well” — extremely helpful if you ask me!

Any advice? I’ve explained frustratingly in both an email to customer service and to the agent that answers the calls that I only have till December to redeem these avios — and as expected they could care less.

You can’t seem to reach the Iberia Plus folks who are the ones that can key in the magic 90k that i’m looking for…what can I do that I haven’t tried? I’m assuming going down the “just give me back my money route” will be equally frustrating.
