Hyatt Hadahaa Upgrades

Hyatt Hadahaa Upgrades

Thinking of making an award stay at Park Hyatt Hadahaa, and wonder how to go about paying additional $$$ to upgrade the room. Can this be done st the time of reserving, or when? Details please.

I dont think you can pre-reserve an upgrade. probably has to be done at check in depending on availability.

I think depending on status and occupancy you might be able to do this in advance. Just send them an email after you reserve and they should be able to give you a cash upgrade price. I f you are Diamond they will usually give you a space available upgrade to the pool villa which we loved our last time. Actually going to be there in a few days and really looking forward to it.

Lucky writes about the PH Maldives’ upgrades here: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2015/03/12/park-hyatt-maldives-upgrades-my-head-hurts/

This trip report has separate, more in-depth reviews on each type of room available at the PH Maldives: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2015/05/23/relaxation-in-the-maldives-introduction/

I was there last May. I booked the base room using Hyatt GP points. Once booked into the base villa, I emailed the hotel directly with my booking confirmation number at reservations.parkhadahaa @ hyatt.com inquiring about upgrade. They quoted me cost and sent me a pro-forma invoice directly from the hotel.

We split our 8 days there between the Park Pool Villa and the Park Water Villa. Cost was $205.00 USD (plus tax of 22%) per night for the pool villa and 405.00 plus tax per night for the Water Villa. They also invoiced the 520.00/pp transfer fee on the same pro-forma invoice. Payment was due 30 days prior to arrival, and was charged by the hotel directly, so take that into consideration when choosing which card to charge it to.

Hope this helps. PH Hadahaa is a pretty incredible place. Enjoy!

8 days?! What did you do for all the days, if you dont mind sharing? I cant imagine being there for more than 4-5 days

@David W…. it’s hard to say. I’m not one for usually laying about and doing nothing but there is something about this property that just invites you relax and enjoy your time here. Eight days might be a little too much for even me but we’re checking out today after four days and I can easily spend another couple of days. We were upgraded to a pool villa as diamonds so our time was spent mostly snorkeling, some yoga sessions, hanging out in the pool and just reading and relaxing :).

@David W…..Absolutely nothing, which was just what the doc ordered. 🙂

I was worried that It would be too long as well, but being away from everything and totally disconnected was fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever come back from a vacation as refreshed and recharged as I did this one. As Guarav mentioned, take advantage of the yoga and snorkeling. We also did the back of house tour, took some fun Bartending classes with Rahul and Ashish, spent time chatting with our villa host Ameez at dinner in the evenings and our server Fauzen at breakfast every morning learning a bit about Maldivian life. The staff at PH Hadahaa are great, and a pleasure to get to know.

We also spent 2 and 1/2 days in Dubai on the front end, and a full day in Hulhumale/Male before our return flight on the back end. Bookend the whole thing with EK F flights, and it was 2 full weeks well spent.
