How’s the beach at Amankila in Bali?

How’s the beach at Amankila in Bali?

    Dear Lucky,

    Thanks for a great blog!

I’m going to Bali in a couple of weeks. I’ll spend four nights in Ubud and four on a beach. For the beach bit, I’m debating between Amankila and the Four Seasons. I see that you’ve been to Amankila, but you’ve not said much in your review about the beach and the water there. I was wondering if you’ve got any thoughts on how the beach at Amankila compares to, say, Jimbaran Bay or Nusa Dua. I’m thinking in terms of water quality, water clarity and cleanliness.

My partner and I have stayed at several Aman properties before and love them, and I’m drawn to Amankila because it’s away from the madness close to Denpasar. However, we really do want to be by a nice beach for a few days, so if things are better elsewhere then we don’t have to do an Aman on this occasion.

    Many thanks in advance!

P.S. I’ve tried registering on the site, but despite three requests I haven’t received the email to confirm my registration. I’ve checked my spam filter and junk email, and there’s nothing there. Can you help? I registered as JLH London. Thanks!

Honestly, there are no really good beaches in Bali so get your expectations right.
