    If you are not running afoul of 5/24 and are otherwise eligible it should be instantaneous.

    Or if you’re like me and already have a lot of Chase cards (though I was under 5/24) you’ll get a pending decision. I immediately sent a secure message and asked to have it forwarded to the reconsideration department. I noted Chase had already extended me a great deal of credit offered to close my Sapphire Preferred to get the CSR. They ended up just shuffling my credit lines around and I was approved the next business day.

    I’ll still eventually close the CSP but will wait until its annual fee is due and I’ll have them move the credit from that card to another card so I’ll still have the same amount of available credit.
