Hotel reservation

Hi there, I will be travelling to Malaysia in april and needed advise about booking a hotel if you don’t mind. I will be getting there on tuesday April 3 around 11:30 pm now my question is what date should I originally book my hotel for. Do I book the date from April 3rd or April 4th. The reason I asked this is because by the time I go through immigration etc it it will definitely be early Wednesday morning (April 4th). Advice will be very much appreciated I’m so confused.

You have to book your check-in date to be April 3rd, though you might want to let the hotel know that you are checking in after midnight on the 4th.

If you book your hotel stay with check in on the 4th, your room wont be ready until the afternoon of the 4th

You need to let the Hotel know it will be a late check in and ask for a late checkout on the 4th if you need it. I do this often after red eye flights where I have a 12 or more hour layover. The hotels are surprisingly accommodating but you need to let them know in advance.
