Help! Best Routing?

Help! Best Routing?

  1. Anonymous Guest

I’m flying to London for the zillionth time in March, so I’m planning on stopping over in Europe for lunch, to mix things up a bit, & try different carriers.
What routing do you think would be better?

EWR -> ZUR on LX in Y (330)
    Lunch in Zurich then
ZUR -> LHR on LX in EuroBiz (C100)

    Orrrr
JFK -> FRA on SQ in Y (380)
    Lunch in Frankfurt then
FRA -> LHR on LH in EuroBiz (320)

I also carry a PriorityPass if that affects airport recommendations.

I guess my feeling is that I’m split on whether:
taking the CS100 and Zurich being more interesting of a day trip than Frankfurt

Or if SQs awarded Y is worth it, and so is saving money by transferring in Frankfurt, because I hear Zurich is pricey.

To be clear, I’ve never flown on LH, LX, or SQ, nor have I flown on the CS100.

The US Dollar is actually stronger than the Swiss Franc at the moment so Zurich shouldn’t be too pricey. I found the city center of Zurich very walkable. I’ve only changed planes in Frankfurt so I can’t help there.
