Has anyone had any experience accessing the JFK Etihad First Class Lounge upon *arrival*?

Has anyone had any experience accessing the JFK Etihad First Class Lounge upon *arrival*?

    Hi everyone,

We’re flying Eithad J from HKG-AUH and F (in the Apartments) from AUH-JFK. We have an 8-hour layover in JFK before continuing in F on AA from JFK-SEA.

Is there any chance we could sweet talk our way into Eithad’s first class lounge at JFK upon arrival? I believe it’s only meant for passengers departing on Etihad, but has anyone tried to use the lounge upon arrival on Etihad?

    Thanks so much,
    Todd

I’ve seen this asked before but no reports of people being able to do it. Let us know if it works!

Are you checking bags? If you are, bag claim empties out into the landside part of JFK T4, and to go back upstairs toward the lounge you would need to go thru security again. They may not allow it if you dont have a boarding pass for an airline in T4. You can always wait to grab your bags and try to head to the lounge first, its up one level from the main departures level

It’s officially a departure lounge. You can ask, and they might make an exception, but I’ve never heard of anyone being granted access on arrival, unfortunately.
