Frequent Travel to ATL to Tampa and/or Orlando
Need to do a lot of travel between Atlanta & Tampa and Orlando.
Not sure about Orlando, but I know that from Atlanta to Tampa that you typically will find the best deals with Delta or Southwest.
I need to be earning rewards to get there so frequently, but Im so confused w/this scenario, what would be the best. Should I go with:
Chase Sapphire
Delta Rewards
Southwest Rewards
or Something else??
(I can easily rack up the necessary spending in the first 3 mos, which some of these require in order to get bonus miles! Not thrilled about annual fees, but it may be worth it!? If it matters, I am a Delta SkyMiles member, but don’t have much in my account.)
@sweettartnacho welcome! How much are paid tickets usually on that route?

Anywhere from $140 to $180 round trip. 🙂 thanks.
I just looked randomly at DL and they seem to be charging 19000-24000 miles. Not a good redemption rate in IMO. I’d suggest flying SW and accumulating points there as well as getting a SW card for the sign up bonus and Chase UR products (which allow transfer to SW) for sign up bonus and ongoing spend. Plus with SW you can book any flight without having to worry about award availability.
Thank you. So you suggest 2 cards? What is “UR”? 🙂
Ultimate Rewards (they are a transferable currency earned by certain Chase cards). Before applying for cards make sure to google Chase 5/24 and do some reading in terms of which order you’d like to apply for the cards.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Hi @sweettartnacho, and welcome!
Just curious, because it might change my answer (although I almost always agree with @Gaurav), but do you check bags on this route?
