free night at marriott certificate question

free night at marriott certificate question

  1. r hirsch New Member

i have a free night that is expiring on 19 june 2016.

i have extended the expiration date on this certificate twice successfully by calling and asking.

here are my three (or possibly more) questions :

    1. can i extend the expiration again?

    2. can i allow a friend or family member to use this cert? can i book for them in my name? can i book for them in their name?

    3. must i use this cert by 19 june? or, can i book a hotel for november 2016 before this cert expires, like on 18 june?

    thanks!

You can definitely book it in your name and also put the other person’s name on the reservation. You can specify that the other person will be arriving first.

I would think it would be pushing it to ask for another extension but then I’ve never tried that. I’m pretty sure it has to be used by the expiration date based on past personal experience.
