Fly around the world options?

Fly around the world options?

Lucky – New addition to the site (formally now). Have enjoyed reading and learning while on your website. I am traveling on business to Shanghai in early January from JFK via LAX. I am planning on some personal travel as well. Already using some Delta miles to try out Air China Business class from LA to Taipei ( seat 14K). Tempted to fly around the world back to JFK but also considering going to Incheon for a few days while enjoying Korean Air and then back to JFK with Japan Air through Narita on the 787. Would like some ideas to consider to make it a special trip. Have some AA and United miles to use as well as plenty of Delta miles and AMEX points. Any ideas for special flights or destinations while I am on the other side of the planet would be appreciated.

LA to Taipei is on China Airlines, which is much better and different from Air China 🙂
and is a wonderful TPAC choice.

Korean Airlines and Japan Airlines are great options but I’d also recommend looking into Asiana and ANA as well. If you want to fly via Europe, Lufthansa First is wonderful (assuming no strikes…lol)

Etihad is fantastic if you dont mind paying for 2 AA awards and can find space on their A380 from AUH-JFK or B787 serving AUH-IAD. Qatar is another solid option with AA miles provided you can get on their 787 or A350s, and also require 2 awards.

Singapore Airlines is also another choice, with their A380 serving JFK via Frankfurt and 77Ws serving SFO and LAX with stops in HKG, NRT and ICN as well as IAH via MAN. Lastly, they are also serving SIN-SFO direct with an A350.
