First class SLC to Sweden
My goal is to fly 2 people first class from SLC to Sweden. Any suggestions on where to start? Which awards programs should I invest in, etc?
Thanks!
Do you any significant balances in either frequent flyer or credit card programs now? Roughly what time frame do you want to travel?
Also, would you “settle” for business class?

If he is going to Sweden he would indeed be better off settling for business class since there are no direct flights with F cabins from the US.
Air France and Swiss is only available to members of their own FF programs, and that only leaves you with LH and BA. Down side with LH is that awards only open up 14 days before flight for non-members of M&M, and M&M members have to pay fuel surcharges. BA again is high fuel surcharges and airport taxes in LON. Both come with the wonderful experience of Euro-J to Sweden from LON, MUC or FRA.
I’m not counting United F as that cabin is being phased out.

Where in Sweden are you going? If you are going to smaller airport chances are that you will end up on Scandinavian at least part of the way.
Quite frankly if you can find award space the easiest way to Sweden is the SK LAX-ARN flight using United or Aeroplan miles.

You would also have to find space on United SLC-LAX and on SK if you are going somewhere else than Stockholm.
