Eva Infinity Mileageland Redeem for kids

Eva Infinity Mileageland Redeem for kids

  1. Lyn New Member

    Hi,
We are going to Asia this Summer 2019- and I would like to redeem /spend my children (both under 12 years old) Eva earned mileages (will expired soon regardless activity).
I called Eva customer service and asked if i could do online service to transfer all the mileages to my account then pay (partial) for the trip. She said -even after transferred (3-5 business days)- I still could not combined with my mileages. She stated ” your children mileages are good for hotel voucher or magazine!!!!”
*1/- I am not sure if any other way i can use the miles to either pay for the trip or at least upgrading.
( total 90k (15k for each kid that may not enough for upgrade ).
*2/-Can I book kids like an adult ticket to use their mileages (100$ worth) then call in to adjust the ticket price? ( about 10% less than adult).
    * 3/-Eva offered new Family Fare Travel in March 5…Due to the peak season in Summer , I am searching for Discount tickets which travel without check in bags and no upgrade, nor miles earn…if any one experience on this, please kindly let me know- Eva customer service only said ” in different channel-or only in event time”
Thanks a lot for any input.
    Lyn

    Hey Lyn,
I’m no expert but lots of frequent flyer programs don’t let you combine miles among family members so I’m not sure if you’re going to be able to use the miles at all. You can follow the suggestions to look for hotel vouchers and/or donate the miles to charity (if Eva does that). Unless Eva offers some kind of points+cash deal you likely won’t be able to use them to knock down the price of a revenue ticket. Eva’s program is not one we deal with very much around here so I’m not very familiar with it at all.

If someone else is, please feel free to jump in here!

    Thanks,
Yes, Eva’s policy is different with United Frequency Flyer-Mileage will expired in 36 months -First in, First out / without notice!…it is uneasy to accumulate unless fly frequency more than twice yearly.
