Hey Lucky,
This is something you should probably confirm and blog about, especially with the 2 concurrent LifeMiles promos! I just spent untold hours searching November/December BR availability YYZ-TPE-HAN (C) and came up empty. Then, I dunno why, I tried on LifeMiles and found Nov30. Booked, no issues, no hiccups. Aeroplan.com was suggesting all sorts of calisthenics.
Imagine: choosing LifeMiles over aeroplan, for better (truly bookable) availability!

Didn’t check UA or call Aeroplan. I daresay you’re right, it’s a “glitch” worth noting, for those looking for BR space. Problem existed over a 48 hour period so far. Unresolved at this writing.
