Etihad lounge access
Hello guys,
I’m gonna travel between AUH and LHR in F and I’m thinking of taking my friend with me. He has no miles so he would be on a paid ticket in Y. I can’t find it on etihad’s website so I’m asking you. Can I take him to the lounge? What’s the policy? And, the new lounge is scheduled to open in May, I believe. I expect nobody to know how it will work there, but let’s talk about the current lounge. No statuses and such.
#Editing: Same question with Qatar Airways business lounge.

I don’t think that article covers Etihad and Qatar unfortunately. I did look into this and there are a couple of anecdotal reports of being allowed to bring a guest but I’m hesitant to give a definitive answer. You might just have to check in person. Maybe @Lucky or @Tiffany have some personal experience.
It does cover Qatar as they’re part of oneworld and there is mention of an exception for them where guests are not permitted in 2 lounges in DOH (not sure how many lounges there are in Doha) nor in the QR lounge in T4 at LHR.
But you’re right that it doesn’t discuss Etihad.
Sorry MSS, missed that!
Okay, thank you guys. One more question:
Would you prefer to have a short connection in Doha that you wouldn’t be able to check out the first class lounge and arrive at 4:20 am in AUH after the whole evening of flying without ability to check in so early or have a 13 hour connection (arrive at 3pm) and spend the night in one of the nap rooms in the lounge?
