Question about redeeming Etihad Business Class tickets with AA Miles.
If the ticket in question has a flight landing in AUH at 7pm at night and leaving at 1030am the next day.
1. Does Etihad provide a hotel for overnight guests on a business class ticket?
2. Do they still provide it for an AAdvantage redemption ticket?

I’m just rusty on what Etihad still provides and doesn’t.

Not sure why the airline would pay you to overnight in an airport hotel. Seems you need to book a hotel reservation in AUH area. It would be better to get a 2 or 3 hour layover and avoid spending time on a chair at the airport.
And, not sure what your second question is. My guess is “no”.
BTW, you can always call American Airlines and speak to a representative.

I think that policy is no longer active – if I remember correctly, they did use to provide overnight accommodations when the overnight was forced (i.e., no connecting flight that left same day)

I can’t find anything in writing, but I’d be willing to guess if the policy does still exist, AA award redemptions don’t qualify.
