Does Hyatt Waive The Resort Fee On Credit Card Award Night Redemptions?

Does Hyatt Waive The Resort Fee On Credit Card Award Night Redemptions?

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi, I’m a long-time reader, and an overview of the just-announced changes to Hyatt Gold Passport raised a side question for me that I’m hoping you can/will advise on. Specifically, is Hyatt supposed to waive Resort Fee charges on Award Night Redemptions (not “Cash-and-Points”, but pure Award Nights such as those provided with their CC sign-up)?

I ask because I have an Award Night weekend coming up very soon; and when I booked it online it indicated that I was going to be charged a Resort Fee of $25 per night. Should I be able to have this Fee waived?

Your timely advice (as always) would be very much appreciated! Thanks.

I’m not sure – the Hyatt GP T&Cs are here https://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/customer-service/gp-terms-conditions-print.jsp but doesnt specify. For redemptions at Mlife properties that have resort fees, they are not waived.

I’d call Hyatt GP and find out whether it can be waived or not. The new Hyatt program that will go into effect on March 1st specifically says that resort fees are waived on award stays.
