DL to AA via SPG and (maybe) MR

DL to AA via SPG and (maybe) MR

I have a grand idea of how to get rid of my DL miles
-Transfer the ~100k skymiles to SPG (unless the ratio is something like 3:1 or worse)
-Transfer the SPG points to Marriott if the ratio of Marriott to AA gets more miles than SPG to AA
-Enjoy the extra 75k AA miles

Did I miss something? You can transfer DL to SPG? I didn’t know any airline miles could be transferred to SPG.

You can use DL miles to book rooms at SPG, I believe, but I was unaware they could be transferred to SPG.

Sorry, I wasn’t sure if you could do that but, because you can do it 1 way it would make sense to be able to do it the other way

That’s ok – I just wondered if I’d totally missed out on something.

Well maybe you can transfer DL miles to some other Airline-transferrable currency (like Amex)

Nope. Pretty sure you can only transfer Delta miles to other people as Delta miles.

Any reason you don’t want to redeem them with Delta?

I don’t want to split up my family on the flights and plus, I’m about 15k DL miles and 15 K AA miles short of the award (if we were to split up)

Could you transfer MRs to Delta or buy enough AA miles to top it off? Just throwing ideas out there. Of course you can always donate orphan miles to charities who’ll be happy to accept whatever you send their way.
