Delta AMEX “Fly Now, Earn Later” – anyone tried?

Delta AMEX “Fly Now, Earn Later” – anyone tried?

With my monthly newsletter from my Delta Gold AMEX, I was informed of a “new” program called “Fly Now, Earn Later” which allows Delta SkyMiles members to request an advance of miles and then earn them over spend for the next 6 months. Anyone have experience is this? Am I late to the game or is this actually new? Would love to see Lucky do an analysis of this / if there is considerably any value here, or if it’s a no-go.

    Thanks!

Not sure if it’s new to Delta but Amex MR sometimes lets you do that – advance you points you need and you’re given a certain period of time to earn those points or they’ll charge you for what you didnt earn.
