Credit Cards for Europeans

Credit Cards for Europeans

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello guys, I have read this blog for a very long time and I really enjoy it, however there is something that really disappoints me (not regarding the blog itself), and that is the fact that I can’t barely take any advantages of barely any of the credit card offers posted here. I currently live in Germany and the only miles rewarding card that I have is the Miles & More Credit Card Blue (which is not rewarding at all). I usually travel 2-3 times a year intra-Europe (LH) and maybe once every two years long-haul. For those of you who have knowledge on credit cards that could be more rewarding, which ones would you recommend?

Thanks for all the help, anything will be appreciated,
    Nico

Hey guys, I have read the blog for a while now and I really enjoy it, however there is something that really frustrates me (not regarding the blog), and that is the fact that I do not have the possibility to take advantage of barely any of the posted credit card offers. I currently live in Germany and I do not have credit card that has any kind of mile earning (only a Deutsche bank card). I usually travel 2-3 time intra-Europe (usually LH economy) and once every two years long-haul (try to fly business). I am member of the Miles and More program (I have around 20,000 miles) taking into consideration I will be flying this upcoming summer MUC-JFK (via ZRH) on Swiss’ F Class. My question is, are there any credit cards which are maybe worth applying, or that have some kind of similar rewards as to those in the US?

Thank you very much for your help. All tips are appreciated 🙂

You’re based in Germany so at least you can get the Miles and More mastercard there http://www.miles-and-more-kreditkarte.com which gives you 15k signup bonus.

I live in France and was in the same situation as you except that we have less choices even in France with only a card for Air France which is probably one of my most hated airlines (together with Aeroflot, Delta and Korean Airline, quite a team they have) so I actually opened a bank account in spain and got myself an Iberia+ credit card which gives 1 mile per euros + 9k miles a year bonus if I spend more than 9k euros. It’s definitely not as much as what people in the US can get but it’s better than nothing.
