credit cards benefits and awards
Hi guys,
I am now confused–well, maybe I was all along! 1) I had thought I’d read that if you used one of your various credit cards (like Chase preferred, or Chase Ritz, or Citi Prestige) that you could use to pay an award tickets taxes etc and would then qualify for the travel benefits. Reading Gary’s blog a couple of days ago (the comments section) it sounds like that is not the case-and I can’t find an answer on the chase site 2) That same blog entry states that awards need to be round trip to qualify–is that correct?
If so, I better go back to buying trip insurance :O
You can, but for Chase it has to be an award with one of their partner programs now. All the details are in the cardholder agreement that was sent to you in the mail — I’ll see if I can find my copy and upload it.
Tiffany–I must have missed the caveat about the partner programs. Would you mind doing a post/elaborating?
Thanks Tiffany, I look forward to reading that. But also, can I get the benefits on a one way award/ticket or only round trip?
