Covid 19 affecting United 787 Polaris update schedule?

Covid 19 affecting United 787 Polaris update schedule?

What is your best guess as to whether the Covid virus airline shutdown will accelerate or interfere with United’s schedule to update the Polaris class on their 787-9. I plan to travel on one in March 2021.

I think it is too soon to tell right now. Refits (I’m not sure how many United has completed versus still need to be done) may slow to a crawl, depending on where the refits are taking place – if HKG like AA or somewhere else that has seen the worst of Covid-19, UA may take advantage of the downtown time. Another variable right now is the $$ needed to refit the planes. Right now, I can’t see any airline spending cash on refits. Maybe in 6 months?
