Hi all.

I was wondering what will be a safe amount of time to plan for a connection at LHR.
Will connect to Vienna. Most itineraries by AA give 1-2 hours. Would an hour really be enough? (no checked baggages). Pretty large airport and while I have priority to go through the expedited lane, may still take a long time.

From your description, it sounds like you are flying into LHR on AA (in T3), and out to Vienna. Is your connecting flight on BA (out of T5)?

If the above is the case, 90 minutes is a good amount of time, and gives you a bit of a buffer in case of delays, long queues, late buses, etc. You can do it in half that, but everything has to go quite smoothly for it to work.

really depends if you have to switch terminals and go through security again. I once had to transfer from T5 to T3 within 2 hours. I would have missed my flight if our departing flight wasn’t delayed. Super stressful.

I guess 60 minutes is way too tight. As RT bones correctly says, I get on a AA flight and switch to BA. Im just going to take another route.
