Hi guys sorry if this question is too obvious. My dad bought me economy flights to Australia from the uk with KLM using miles and cash. He is platinum for life with KLM but won’t be traveling with me. The flights are klm to AMS from MME then China southern are operating the fights to Sydney via Guangzhou. What do you think my chances are of getting lounge access and other platinum benefits? It says platinum on my ticket with klm from the uk to Amsterdam but can’t access the other tickets on the app.

Well it’s always worth a shot since you have nothing to lose! But, technically you don’t have Platinum status, so I was just be prepared to be turned away.

Access is based on your ticketed cabin class and your own elite status so you wouldn’t have lounge access.
