Chase BA 10% Discount – Credit to AAdvantage?

Hi all,

I am planning an international round trip on BA from the US and want to use get the 10% discount offered through the Chase BA credit card. It requires you to sign into your Executive Club account, so I was wondering if it is possible to credit the miles on a trip with this 10% discount to a partner airline? I’d like to credit it to American but concerned I won’t be able to do that! Has anyone managed to do anything similar?

Leave your BA number on the reservation until you’ve gone through security at the airport. Then at the gate get the agent to change your FF number to your AA number. If it’s a multi-leg flight be sure all legs get the AA number. There’s no reason they shouldn’t be but be sure to check because once a flight is credited to an airline there’s no changing it.
