Change in Citi Hotel benefits: no FS Preferred Partner

Change in Citi Hotel benefits: no FS Preferred Partner

I emailed the Citi Concierge about booking the Four Seasons Lanai, but the agent told me I can’t have both the 4th Night Free and the FS Preferred Partner benefits:
”Unfortunately you must choose. We can book the rate that includes the partnership amenities; like room upgrade and forgo the 4th night benefit. OR you can have the 4th night benefit; however you must book the lowest standard rate that does not include a room upgrade. You cannot have both.”
Has anyone else heard that?

    First I’ve heard of it…

I contacted the Citi concierge via the website to ask about booking the Four Seasons Lanai. I was surprised when the concierge told me the following:
Thank you for your request. The Four Season Lanai Resort is such a tranquil place to visit. You’re sure to enjoy your stay. Yes the hotel does qualify for the 4th night; however the Ocean View room would not.

Unfortunately you must choose. We can book the rate that includes the partnership amenities; like room upgrade and forgo the 4th night benefit. OR you can have the 4th night benefit; however you must book the lowest standard rate that does not include a room upgrade. You cannot have both.
I was able to use them to book the Four Seasons Florence earlier this year and definitely received the partner benefits (free breakfast, food credit, etc) so I’m wondering if this is a change. In addition, has anyone else heard of the 4th night benefit being restricted to certain view categories?

I’m hoping the usual “hang up and call back” will work when I go to make the actual booking via telephone

    Apologies for double-post. Please ignore.

Please let me know what happens, I’m curious as well! I haven’t booked 4S rates myself, but I have booked Luxury Privileges rates through Citi, higher room categories, and even a full-board rate in the Maldives, so I’ll cross my fingers for you!

Via Citi concierge I booked 4 nights FS Hong Kong harbor view club room with FS offering 3rd night free. Citi confirmed I would get 4th night free via statement as well. I asked Citi to double check since I was skeptical…. looks like I’m getting 4 nights for the price of 2 nights
