Car Rental in Costa Rica

Car Rental in Costa Rica

  1. Jazz New Member

    Hello,
Travelling to costa rica next week. Have Citi thank you premier, Barclay Advantage, Citi Advantage and freedom card. Which one should I use to rent car for insurance purpose?
Or should I add myself to CSR and pay $75?

@Jazz, I’m not familiar with the Barclay Advantage, but I believe the Citi Premier is the only one of the choices that offers primary coverage for car rentals outside the US plus it has no fx conversion charges and 3x points on travel including car rentals so I’d go with that option. See https://www.cardbenefits.citi.com/Products/Car-Rental-Insurance for more details or call in to speak with an insurance specialist to make sure you have a good understanding of coverage.
