Can I apply for both Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited at the same time?

Can I apply for both Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Unlimited at the same time?

    Hi there,

I currently have the Chase Sapphire Preferred and was looking to apply for the Chase Freedom card so I can get 1.5% on all other purchases. At the same time I am also interested in the Chase Freedom 5% bonus category.

I was wondering could I apply for both the Chase Freedom and the Chase Freedom Unlimited at the same time and get their sign up bonuses?

    Thank you!

An old post from Lucky says Chase unofficial rule is that they wont approve you for more than 1 or 2 cards in a 30 day period, before taking their 5/24 rule into account.

If you know for sure that youre under 5/24, I’d apply for one card and wait 30 days to apply for the other instead of risking a rejection
