Cathay vs. Sinagpore?

Business class from New York to Asia.

What is a better product, overall?

SQ has a great and spacious product but getting anywhere other than Singapore will require an additional stop. Cathay has a decent product and will be a faster option than SQ.

SQ might be the better option but I think you’ll be happy with either airline

I just flew Singapore in business on their a350 and suites on a380 and they were both very nice (amazing) in terms of the hard product. But I think Cathay wins in terms of food and has a good seat as well. And avoids a stop in Frankfurt!

You could also fly via SFO

@Hugh B Sure but if they are already based in NY, stopping, adding a domestic NYC-SFO flight doesnt help. Still an extra stop.

SQ says theyre expecting the A359-ULR in 2018 to serve JFK-SIN direct so we’ll see how that goes…
