buddy pass in business / first class
recent posting mentioned problem with traveler using buddy pass and seated in 1st class. thought airlines had strict policy against this. is this the norm or someone let them up front. have been on flights where others complained about employees riding up front when those on wait list for 1st class did not get upgraded and they moved them back.
It is all dependent on the airline! I don’t know Delta’s rules specifically. Often, I believe buddy passes can be used for premium travel depending on the employee whose passes they belong to. For instance, a senior pilot may be able to have his/her son travel in first class, while a recently-hired baggage handler may only be able to fly in economy.
