Brussels Airways award space for partners

Brussels Airways award space for partners

  1. Anonymous Guest

Does anyone know if Etihad should have the same access to Brussels Airways award space that Brussels Airways’ other partners have? I found availability on Brussels flights on United.com, and I tried calling Etihad to confirm availability on their end, but they weren’t able to find anything. Fine. I hung up, called again. Same answer. Then, I checked on ANA’s website (no availability showing) and on the Aeroplan website (availability was showing). I tried Etihad one more time, and the third person said she didn’t see it.

If anyone else has more experience booking through Etihad, could you please help me out. I don’t know if I’m running into less competent agents, or if Brussels really has different award space for different partners.

Etihad doesn’t seem to have access to the same space as Star Alliance partners, but I haven’t figured out the exact difference. Your best option is to call.

(Also, sometimes Brussels space on Aeroplan and United is phantom, which doesn’t make it easier).
