Best way to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards for CX?
Hi everyone!
Hoping someone can help out with this. I have a little over 55,000 miles on CX that will expire in a few months. My husband and I need to go to Asia for business and would like to fly J roundtrip from SFO / LAX to HKG / ICN on CX. Hopefully the 55k miles will be enough for at least one segment in J. Which transfer partner from Chase would be the best option? Thanks and appreciate your help!
Lana
Lana, Chase Ultimate Rewards do not transfer to Asia Miles. CX is in oneworld and the only UR oneworld partners are BA/IB Avios. And you can’t combine Avios and Asia Miles on the same ticket though you could book outbound with one currency and return with the other currency.
Does that answer your question? I wasn’t entirely sure what you were asking.

Haha yes that’s why I was asking. Last time I checked 55k on Asia miles would get one segment in J. I now need to use a transfer partner to get the second one way and other round trip ticket. Now that Iberia has been added, would it be better to use them or British?
Iberia usually charges lower fuel surcharges so I’d look there first.
