Best Lounge for departing NYC area – Amex Platinum

Best Lounge for departing NYC area – Amex Platinum

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky –

Was curious to know your thoughts on the following. I am Amex Platinum/Priority Pass member and am booking a domestic ticket for next month departing NYC area. Among the three big airports (JFK, LGA, EWR), which would offer the best lounge option for me?

Is the Centurion lounge in LGA worth it? Is JFK’s Delta SkyClub with roof deck worth the trip?

Wanted to see what you think.

    Thanks!!

Both are good lounges – whether it’ll be worth it is up to yourself to decide.

Amex Centurion at LGA is good but is before security. Delta’s lounge at JFK seems to be pretty good. I’d probably go with Delta at JFK.

As David said, both are pretty good. Centurion at LGA has more natural light, but as you mention you can go outside at JFK skyclub.

As a New Yorker, I always prefer JFK because it is so much easier to get to from Manhattan on the subway/airtrain. Eliminates the need for an expensive Uber, especially with the construction fiasco going on at LGA right now.
