Best airlines to fly between LAX and HNL with flat bed seats

Best airlines to fly between LAX and HNL with flat bed seats

We have been flying every month between LAX and HNL on United since the merger with Continental. We both have 1K status and 500,000. each accumulated miles with United. First flight in from LAX and red eye from HNL on return. This was fine when they used 777-200 flat bed seats. Now we are back to small extremely uncomfortable 737 or 757 planes and are looking to find another airline for our flights. Most of our flights on United 777-200 have been full and we have no idea why United stopped using these planes on LAX – HNL route. We were not able to use our regional or global upgrades because there are too many flyers using upgrades and 1K does not mean what it was years ago so every year our comp upgrades are wasted. I am finding out that other airlines charge less for 1st class flat bed seats so I am looking around to find the best solution. I am looking for ideas and inputs from other experienced flyers on this route or general. We fly for our business and pay from our own pockets. Thank you for your input.

In general, most airlines fly really poor products to Hawaii (old article here explaining why: https://onemileatatime.com/why-arent-there-nicer-seats-to-hawaii/)

I think Hawaiian is the only one offering a consistently lie-flat product? But I don’t think it’s on every flight yet, so you’ll want to check the seat maps. Delta might have something seasonally?
