Does anyone have experience on how good BA or Virg Atlantic is on releasing additional coach award seats within 14 days of departure? We need four seats on June 11 from LHR to IAD. The seat map shows wide open availability on both airlines for their one flight that day, but award seats only exist on the day before and after. Thanks!

Hi Tim! They might, but keep in mind that the summer travel season is a bit less predictable for award travel. People are traveling, so there’s less excess capacity.
BA and VS also have really high fuel surcharges on awards, so for economy travel you may be better off just purchasing tickets.
