BA Cheapest Fares Mistake LHR – Seattle

BA Cheapest Fares Mistake LHR – Seattle

  1. Samwise51 New Member

    Hey all,

I have noticed some super cheap J fares return to North America recently for between 1-3 nights. There is currently one for Seattle from March 19th – 20th in J for £703. You can see the fare in BA’s cheapest fare calendar (see file) but then when it takes you through to the booking page the fare does not exist and it is instead £1,090 each way.

Any thoughts on how to book this fare or if it is even possible?

    Thanks,
    Samwise

    Hi @Samwise51, welcome!

Not sure why it’s displaying like that, but you’re right that it doesn’t seem to be a real fare. The lowest I see for the round trip on those dates is £2,179, and I think that’s as low as your going to get.

    Hi Tiffany!

Thanks for checking. There have been a few of these fares around, NYC was £382 2 weeks ago but again not bookable. I am surprised BA are allowed to do this!

There is another one this evening, of £152 return to Philadelphia in cheapest fares in J. Do BA not have to have the flight available if they advertise it as lowest fare?

I think it’s likely a tech issue, and it’s not really “advertised” if you can’t even make it to the flight selection page.
