BA Award w/AA Gold Benefits?

BA Award w/AA Gold Benefits?

  1. Mimi

Hello! So I just booked an award flight from DFW-SNA with Avios points (transferred from UR Points). I’m also AA Gold. Is there a way that I can tie in my AA Gold/OneWorld Ruby benefits to this flight? I tried picking a seat in advance and I’m only left with 3 middle seat choices to choose from. Many thanks in advance!

The award is linked to your Avois FFN so you wouldnt be able to input your AAdvantage number. Have you tried calling AA and giving them your PNR and AAdvantage number to get the benefits?

You should also be able to change your FF number on the reservation to AA. I think there are workarounds using the Finnair and Royal Jordanian websites if you can’t do it on the AA or BA websites. As @David W says you can also call.

Thanks, @David W and @Gaurav ! I don’t know how to do this on the website, so I called AA and they referred be to BA’s customer service line. I haven’t called them just yet. Do you know how I would ago about this on the Finnair website??

  5. David W

on finnair, go to “manage booking” and enter the information – surname and BA’s record locator. It should pull up info. From there, change the FFN if it allows. If not, repeat on Royal Jordanian’s website. If that doesnt get anywhere, call.
