Why can’t you call any of the award travel booking services ? You can only contact them by email or thru their website. Is this for their security or legal reasons ? Or do clients dispute the charges if they don’t have documentation of the discussion by email ?

Probably to make sure there is no confusion about instructions and decisions. Probably helps with the latter. Also most point bookers are freelance so I don’t think they have a customer service professional answering calls.

Hi Serena! Thanks for posting here as well, and as I mentioned in my email, we like to keep everything in writing as much as possible to avoid any confusion regarding dates, airlines, flight times, etc. We’ve been doing this a long time, so we’ve learned this is necessary!

Keep in mind as well that 99% of the bookings we’re helping people make can’t be done online, so we are almost always on the phone with airlines.

That being said, if the phone time is critical for you I certainly understand, and would suggest contacting Book Your Award, who requires clients to call and provide payment information before they will research or book itineraries.
