Avoiding Extra Fees Redeeming on Virgin Atlantic
I have been collecting Virgin America Elevate points through my Comenity Visa Card, which I can also redeem for flights on Virgin Atlantic. Right now I’m saving up for a R/T 1st class ticket from JFK – London, which is 35,000 elevate points + around $1,100 in taxes. Is there any way to avoid such high taxes, such as moving the elevate points to another program? I realize it’s a long shot, but figured reaching out to folks who have more expertise in this area couldn’t hurt. Thanks.
