Avoiding Delta MQM Earning to Maximize 2017 Carryover

Avoiding Delta MQM Earning to Maximize 2017 Carryover

  1. Anonymous Guest

A flight on 12/29/16 will just barely get me Platinum Medallion status for 2017. I’d prefer to settle for Gold Medallion and carry over 23,000 MQMs. Is there any way to decline/transfer/defer the MQMs I’ll earn on the 12/29 flight?

    Credit them to another airline?

I posted this yesterday before realizing that I needed to join the forum first. A late December flight will just barely get me to Delta’s Platinum tier. I’d rather settle for Gold and carry over a bunch of MQMs to start 2017. Is there any way I can avoid earning MQMs for my December flight? I know that question sounds weird, but I think it’s the best strategy for me — if there’s a way to do it. Thanks.
