Avios back to chase

Avios back to chase

Given the current circumstances, can iberia transfer back my points to my chase credit card? Has anyone tried this before?

Never hurts to ask! This is certainly a special circumstance. But, I wouldn’t hold my breath that they would reverse a points transfer given that Avios are still a valid points currency.

I was wondering the same thing vis-a-vis Amex and AsiaMiles. I transferred ~20k MRs to AsiaMiles for some intra-Asia flying. I wouldn’t worry about using them if they were BA Avios, but I just don’t know when I’ll be able to use them. Guess I’ll wait and see what my travel plans this fall or coming winter will be.

That’s indeed generally not possible, but if any of you is successful doing that given the circumstances, please update us!
