Aviator vs AA Plat

Aviator vs AA Plat

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hey Lucky,

I got the US Airways (Aviator Red) card late last year, and the AA Platinum early in 2015 for the combination of each separate 50k AA miles. So my question, which one is better to hold on to? I was thinking the Aviator, since, as far as I know, AA Plat doesn’t offer the 10k miles on the anniversary. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated.

    Thanks

If your AAviator has the 10k anniversary bonus I think that would be a no-brainer to hold on to. It is cheaper, offers chip+pin, and offers the 10% mileage rebate. Also since Barclays can never sign you up for it again, they might be more incentivized to offer retention deals although YMMV.
