Avianca’s latest offer

Avianca’s latest offer

Just got an email from Avianca with an interesting proposition. They are offering a chance ot double or triple your miles earned in January. In my case a chance to triple the 60K miles I earned via their new credit card bonus. So I can add 120K more miles to my account for ~$1700. And since that counts as Avianca spend it should get me another bonus. Seems like a new and interesting thing.

Are you sure cc earned mileage is eligible for the offer?

Yes. When I log in to my account it shows me a few categories including credit card miles and flight miles and allows me to select whichever category I want.

Basically it’s about 1.4 cpm including the CC bonus (x3) for the spend to buy the miles.

They actually introduced another option yesterday. Buy miles with a 100% bonus plus 35% extra on top of that for 101K-200K mile transactions. So it’s cheaper per mile. I don’t need miles right now so I’ll wait to see if they do another one of those 150% bonuses at some point.
