Avianca Life Miles
Is anyone able to book an award ticket online using Avianca Life Miles in the past 3 days? I’m getting a message that there is a problem.
When are you getting the message Nolan? While searching or just at the final ticketing stage?
After I chose the flt I want and the miles and money percentages I click on continue and then the next page says “Sorry, there was a problem while processing your transaction. Please try again. If the problem persists or you need additional information please contact [EMAIL=’[email protected]?subject=Miles%20redemption%20case-219134043′]LifeMiles Support[/EMAIL].”
The problem is occurring when I’m trying to book a one way business class ticket to BJV (Bodrum, Turkey) in November from ORD.
I tried to see if the problem occurs when I book a one way business class ticket ORD-NRT and there is not a problem then.
Have you checked Aeroplan or United’s award searches to make sure space is there and not a glitch or phantom space? That might be the issue.
I think the issue is that an itinerary that involves one or more Turkish Airlines segments creates a situation that the website can’t process. I checked United and Aeroplan and it was fine.
I could book a ticket from ORD-WAW and separately WAW to BJV but not all together.
In that case, call Aeroplan, tell them which flights you want, segment by segment and have them put the award together for you. They shouldnt have a problem with it, if space is there.
Have you ever been able to work around this? I am on the same boat, Life Miles won’t work online with a TK flight..
Hi [USER=2546]@Derrick[/USER], and welcome! If you aren’t in a rush, you can take screenshots of the flights you want (on the LifeMiles site), and the error, and then email them asking them to book it for you. It takes 3-4 days for them to respond, but is the only real workaround.
