Asiana SEA->ICN flight : is it flat bed style?

Asiana SEA->ICN flight : is it flat bed style?

hello, has anyone taken the Asiana Airline SEA->ICN flight recently? Especially the Friday outbound flight? I am wondering if they have updated their equipment since Ben wrote his post below (> 1 year ago) Ben stated that the A330 is used on Friday’s flight, but when I check the Asiana website, they said “B77L” for Friday’s flight. No idea if “B77L” has Business Smartium seats / flat bed or not.

I think Asiana has many “B77….” kind of planes, but not all of them are flat bed, based on Seat Guru’s link here http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Asiana/Asiana_Boeing_777-200_ER_A.php . I cant tell which plane flies on what day.

Any insights from recent travellers?

If it has 24 business class seats it’s Smartium.

Pretty sure the sea 777 is not, hope I’m wrong for you.

checked seat expert on a couple Days including Friday’s and it was 2x2x2 so that’s angled lie flat.

thanks Mark. do you mean all the SEA-ICN flights you see so far on EF are 2x2x2? so not necessarily just the one on Friday then?

are the planes with Smartium 1x2x1?

thanks for sharing – great link

The 2x2x2 was the 330. If you’re showing a 77L that’s the 777 with the Smartium. If it’s 1x2x1 then for sure. Give me a date and I check it if you want

thanks in advance.

the date i m interested in for SEA->ICN flight is March 24 2017 (Friday)

i think i have seen two labels being used so far on Asiana website.
“B77L” — this is 777 Smartium, as you said.
“B772” — what does this refer to then ?

btw, is this website accurate https://flightaware.com/live/flight/AAR271 ? see a lot of A333 being used, grrr

It’s showing the 28 seat 2x3x2 which is angle lie flat. That’s what they fly out of Ord with.
77W is first and 24 seat Smartium
77L is 24 seat Smartium with no first
772 are the others with 28 angle lie seats of which one has a first cabin. Yours has first class. Not sure the exact designation is for it.

ah i see. appreciate you spending time to look this up for me, thanks again.

not sure why the flightaware link show so many A333 unless Asiana often swap planes at the last minute…

oh well.
